Ilder was an aspect of the god of the Feywild, Sylfaen, known for their cunning and capriciousness. They presented to wanderers in the fey realm as a chimera of varying composition - the most widely reported form being that of a serpent-like body covered in white irridescent fur, with a canine head and antlers.
When appeased or in a pleasant mood, Ilder was known to act as a cordial guide through the Feywild, perhaps playing a harmless prank or two on those they shepherded through the disorienting fey lands. However, they were also given to sudden and unaccountable changes in mood; when upset, or simply bored, Ilder was known to enact much crueller "pranks" on visitors to the Feywild. Such pranks sometimes resulted in serious physical harm to their victims, but more often incurred much more abstract costs - changes to their physical appearance, binding to unsolicited contracts, and even alterations to their memories or the perceptions of others around them.
