Minotaurs were barrel-chested humanoids with heads resembling those of bulls. Their horns ranged in size from a foot long to great, curling weapons easily three times that length. They often ornamented their horns with metal rings or sheathed them in metal to protect them from damage.
Despite their bovine appearance, minotaurs were omnivorous beings. In early histories, minotaurs were reported to feast on human and halfling flesh by preference, though in fact many lived peacefully among men and other races, and their diets were unremarkable except in volume.
Territory
Minotaurs in the wild dwelt in dark, maze-like forests across the south-west of Auriin where their innate sense of direction prevented them from getting lost.
Those that lived among other humanoids were most often spotted in Nurfel, where the small, remote settlements tended to be more welcoming.
A small number of Minotaurs also resided in long abandoned Elven Citadels, having been abandoned there themselves by their Shade masters who abandoned them there during the Fellcasting.
