Sykëa was an aspect of Sylfaen, who embodied both the sanctuary and the danger of the Feywild's woodlands. She was thought of as the spirit of the trees themselves, and thus was often associated with Dryads - fey beings who were bound to trees.
Those who venerated Sykëa believed that she was responsible for clearings and caves in woodlands, which granted animals and humanoid travellers refuge from the dangers under their canopies, but also that she was the force behind such dangers. In this way, Sykëa represented the changeability and dual nature of the Feywild.
Appearance
The influence of Sykëa was often accompanied by subtle signs, such as the appearance of a fig tree, or the sprouting of figs and fig leaves from other kinds of plants in the area. In instances where the deity commanded more direct interaction with the material world, she was known to appear as a tall, feminine, ethereal elf-like figure, garbed in leaves and woven vines.
