The Etunazna were a range of shallow rolling hills that spanned the North-West of Fëaforn, between Carricall and the North Gate.
During the fifth era and into the sixth, the region was the roaming ground of Giants, who had developed a relatively advanced civilisation and many settlements there. During the sixth era, Elves, Humans, Gnomes and others began to migrate into Fëaforn, slowly supplanting the majority of the Giant population.
By the start of the seventh era, Giants were a rare sight in the Etunazna, having retreated into the mountains, atop the High Ice, or into the clouds. All that remained of their legacy where a few crumbling ruins of enormous proportions. In their place, a smattering of human settlements arose; though the climate was relatively harsh, and the land not particularly arable or traversable, prohibiting the founding of any sizeable cities or trade ports.
